NEWTON, MASS. – The University of North Carolina women’s soccer team got goals from Maycee Bell, Lotte Wubben-Moy and Rachel Jones and posted a clean sheet defensively as the third-ranked Tar Heels defeated Boston College 3-0 Thursday night at the Newton Lacrosse and Soccer Field. Carolina prevailed over the Eagles on a cold and windy night in Beantown before a national television audience on the ACC Network.
The victory assures the Tar Heels of holding on to their lead in the ACC standings through this weekend heading into next Thursday’s rivalry matchup against Florida State in Chapel Hill. That game at 7 p.m. at Dorrance Field will feature the 2018 NCAA finalists and will again be nationally televised by ACC Network.
